Eatery #1: Eat at 20 new restaurants/bakeries/eateries (2/20) - Lester and I went to Suite & Tender for SD Restaurant Week with our fellow foodies Mina and Jerry. For those not in the know about Restaurant Week, you can get a 3-course meal ranging from $20-$40. Suite & Tender happened to be $30.
This time around, there are no photos. I was going to take photos with my cell phone, but the quality would not do it justice. For the record, I ordered the Kobe Beef Carpaccio, Lobster & Braised Short Rib, and the Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake. Check out the Web site and Yelp to see fan photos.
I’ll save the actual review for Yelp, but in a nutshell: most tender braised short rib, EVER. EVERRR. I chose a really neat knife to cut my short rib with, but I didn’t even need it! It was amazing. I totally got pwned by the Truffle Cake, too. Oh, and the carpaccio? I didn’t even know what it was until I ordered it, haha. Talk about being adventurous :x
Considering that the main course alone was $38 and I paid $30 for an appetizer, main course, AND dessert, I think I was pretty satisfied at the end of the night :)
Also, if you’re going to the bathroom, it’s unisex. Howso? See for yourself ;D
